About

Hello! I’m Faye.

I’m a designer & researcher with a Carnegie Mellon Master’s HCI. I’m fascinated by complex problems and believe passionately in design & research as problem solving.

For the last two years, I’ve been creating fast and efficient tools for electrical engineers and supply chain professionals as a one-woman product team (product manager, designer, and researcher). I’m especially proud of my work there on balancing search, browse, and discovery of the parts that engineers need.

In the past, I’ve worked on making 3D printers and software accessible and understandable. I also have experience designing medical software, video streaming services, and confidential messaging, and I’ve done extensive research for every product I’ve worked on.

I believe that good design is smart design. I’m looking for people who share the goal of building products that fill real needs, and in rooting those products in communication and qualitative research as well as data & analytics. I love complex problems and I’m particularly interested in designing for communities and industries that are traditionally underserved by good design. I think everyone deserves good design!

In my spare time, you can find me swinging heavy kettlebells around, eating my body weight in noodles (and counteracting all that kettlebell work), playing board games or Pokemon Go, nerding out over Harry Potter, or tinkering with Arduino or Swift.
